The Office of Graduate Education is offering a training opportunity for anyone who is or will be a bench mentor to biomedical science trainees. We recognize that there are many students, postdocs, and research staff who offer regular support and mentorship to trainees of all career stages, so we’ve created a curriculum tailored to the questions and issues that they may encounter.
During this two-part training, we’ll talk about best practices on these mentoring topics:
  • Maintaining effective communication
  • Aligning expectations
  • Assessing understanding
  • Fostering independence and self-efficacy
  • Promoting a sense of belonging
