Cultivating Mentors
The BioSTAR Office is again offering the three-part Cultivating Mentors workshop series this year. Designed in partnership with Theater Delta and for faculty participants, each workshop includes in-depth conversations and activities to help prepare faculty mentors for the complicated situations that can arise in our research and learning environments. We will use video case studies representing real situations to discuss strategic mentoring practices. Faculty can sign up for single topics or the whole series. If you’ve already completed the foundational mentor training offered by the BioSTAR Office (see below), then these workshops are an excellent way to build additional skills in supporting your trainees.
Each session will be held in-person to foster dialogue and provide opportunities for practice.
